Since you cannot install software version 2.10 to Windows 7 (it is fully blocked when you try), you can't use the hardware MPCs in Controller Mode at all. They have to match, for Controller Mode to be available. A paperweight.Īdditionally, you can't use the Live 2 or MPC One in Controller Mode, if your hardware is on firmware 2.10, and the software isn't. The screen says "Akai" even while MPC Beats or the MPC software is running. The MK2, even with the latest driver installed (which installed just fine to Windows 7), doesn't light up any of the pads or buttons. If you prefer Windows 7 to Windows 10 (like a LOT of us do), you're screwed, if trying to install MPC software 2.10 or newer, or if you own an MPC Studio MK2. It's gotta be said, as I don't see it said much.
